Portuguese Union presents proposals for a reform in the third division

The Portuguese Players Union has been monitoring the deteriorating situation of the portuguese third division (Campeonato de Portugal), for several years, and the main problems faced by players in this competition, which, although legally qualified as non-professional, have hundreds of professional athletes.

The Union published a position paper with the main reflections and proposals for regulatory changes in the third division.

An example of the problems affecting this competition is the bankruptcy of CD Fátima SAD. The 30-days deadline to claim the overdue payables in the insolvency process is running.
