Durante o fim de semana de 24 e 25 de setembro, o Campus do Jogador recebeu seis equipas de futebol feminino na primeira edição do Union Women’s Cup U-17. Este torneio organizado pelo Sindicato dos Jogadores, inserido na Semana Europeia do Desporto, teve como objetivo promover não só o futebol feminino, mas a atividade física dos mais jovens.

During the weekend of September 24th-25th, Players’ Campus received six women’s football teams for the first edition of the Union Women’s Cup U-17. This tournament, organized by the Players’ Union, and inserted on this year’s European Sports Week, had the aim to promote not only women’s football, but youngster physical activity.

In his regular weekly opinion column, Players’ Union president, spoke about the success of Union Women’s Cup U-17 tournament, in an article essentially dedicated to the former international and U-20 world champion João Oliveira Pinto.

O Sindicato partilhou um inquérito online no âmbito do projeto europeu, do qual é parceiro, GOAL to Support Player Development Managers (GOAL4PDM), de forma a perceber as necessidades dos atletas no que toca a formação e educação. O GOAL4PDM é um projeto centrado no papel do Gestor de Carreiras Duais e como pode ser importante para os atletas em atividade.

The Players’ Union shared an online survey within the scope of the European project, of which it’s a partner, GOAL to Support Player Development Managers (GOAL4PDM), in order to understand the formation and educational needs of athletes regarding the Dual Career Manager career. GOAL4PDM is a project centred on the Dual Career Manager role and how it can be fundamental to active athletes.

Na habitual rubrica jurídica “Alerta Jurídico”, o Sindicato partilhou o que preveem as leis e regulamentos acerca dos casos de assédio e abuso sexual, relembrando que a Federação Portuguesa de Futebol tem uma plataforma de denúncia anónima onde podem ser submetidas as queixas.

In the regular legal rubric “Legal Alert”, the Players’ Union shared what the laws and regulations predict regarding sexual harassment and abuse, reminding that the Portuguese FA has a whistleblowing platform where the complaints can be submitted.
